A separate fix in the Linux kernel will be present for these devices in the next hotfix. Sorry ,sorry, I tried, black screen with lines of code linux scrolling then nothing. If you boot from the standard media, press F11 in the boot menu, and ensure that the parameters have the following present:. If the lines of code are shown, probably you removed the 'quiet' parameter after pressing F Fine solution, i confirm, both workarounds work! I prefer the second one Automate loading force Ideally the initialization scripts define different parameters depending on the hardware present and then load only the necessary modules.
It is in conditions generales. Thank you for your help. It works for my Logitech S Keyboard and mouse. I can use the Universal restore and the Trueimage 15 restore media. I spent 2 hrs online with " Dhyansingh Rawat Support Engineer Acronis Customer Central " Why would your support team not know about this work around but instead suggest "media' when after reading the above post we were up and running in 10 min - very frustrating.
Works for me also. Will we be notified when the official replacement is available or do we have to keep checking here? I just purchase ATI yesterday. Read note somewhere that it is recommended to use the bootable version for laptop. So, created one on a USB flash drive. However, I was at office, so, decided to come home and do the cloning there as I didn't know how long cloning process would take.
At home, I tried, but after a minute of using ATI, I started to get a beep sound when clicking mouse button on laptop and no response to mouse click on screen. I don't understand how option 3 would work to use ATI. Person said to use WinPE instead. I created WinPE install on flash drive, but it is not recognized as there when I boot laptop If it is, you need to enter the firmware settings menu and disable Secure Boot, then try again. If it still fails to be recognised the next thing to try is, open up Windows recovery utility in control panel , select to make a bootable USB stick, untick the option to included the recovery folder on the stick.
Once Windows has finshed making the recovery environment on the stick, remake the True image recovery environment and select to make it a WIM file. You now have two options, either copy the TI wim file over to the stick, renaming it boot.
Now the stick should boot your laptop. Is it accurate to say that solution number 2 is the one I should use even after all this time has passed?
And many versions have been released? Solution number two being adding scripts before the rescue disk is made. Even in , I still have this issue on some embedded keyboard and trackpads. The issue usually occurs with the bit versions of the Acronis bootable media.
However, you can use bit on bit machines unless using WinPE as WinPE is only bit now and the issue is usually not there then. Alternatively, I have gotten around this with the bit bootable media by using a USB attached keyboard and mouse attached before boot which works fine. I am using Windows 7 Professional bit. The rescue disk I made did not have any Scripts. The wired USB keyboard and mouse were attached when I booted the system. I installed acronis build number Given these facts what would you suggest my next best course of action is? Authored on. Order Asc Desc.

And I can't help that your crappy forum software doesn't put the reply "with" the actual post is goes with Donna, not sure who you are wanting to have a rant at with your posts above - if it is intended to read by Acronis then you are out of luck as this is just a user forum and you are posting against a forum topic that was originally created in The MVP's in this forum are just users the same as yourself - we do not work for Acronis or get paid by them - we just have a little more experience in using the products and can offer that experience to try to help other users who post in the forums.
If you have an actual problem with Acronis True Image, then please open a New Topic in the relevant forum for the version of the product you are using, then we can try to help you to resolve the issue. With regards to Acronis providing an ISO of the bootable rescue media, this has always been available to registered users via your Acronis account in the downloads page of your registered product s - that was true 10 years ago and is still true today. The ISO in your account will always be the latest build version but will also be the standard, Linux OS based, rescue media.
Acronis is not permitted to distribute the Windows PE versions of the rescue media because of Microsoft licensing rules, those have to be built individually by the users using the tools that Acronis provide in the ATIH application.
Yeah, I figured since it's on "their" domain, thay are at least connecte. Wiondows PE Yes, I'm ranting For the record, I'm aware of what's available and "how" to use it I"m not a child, and I"ve been with Acronis probably as long as you have, which is the part that pisses me off more I even had to around and around to figure out how to get an upgrade disscount that is automatic to first time buyers I would dump them, but unfortunately all my backups are in.
So forgive me if I'm having a problem being cordial with them Donna, you are posting in the ATIH forum - is that the version that you are using and having problems with? If so, then Acronis are no longer producing any updates for ATIH , however, they are producing new updates for both the and versions, updates which include device driver support in the rescue media for many of the latest devices which previously did need the use of Windows PE media but which is now included in the standard Linux OS based rescue media.
Acronis have also made a significant change to support with the introduction of ATIH where you would now get a minimum of 1 year of support instead of the previous days from date of purchase with all earlier versions. No, I have This is where the link brought me to So see what I mean?
That's just another thing that didn't work like it was supposed to with them. I was seeking support, and just followed the links they have me Les Seiler's Backup Video. I've used this evening with a logitech wireless mouse but wasn't able to get the cursor to move until I plugged in a basic wired mouse.
I'll try booting from the boot DVD I made this evening again and see what happens. Must be something to do with the Unifying software - but odd that it works in the previous version of the rescue media. I use the boot media created with the newest Acronis True Image Home build I use wireless keyboard K and mouse M, both from Logitech. But on the followinf screen with title "Acronis True Image " wireless keyboard and mouse don't work.
It seem a bug in build and also in build , Acronis True Image working correctly at this point of view. I tried both the built in recovery disk as well as the downloaded recovery iso. Evidently the drivers for my keyboard and mouse were not included. I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit OS.
I created a winpe disk using the instructions located here I realize you are using windows 8 and I have not used windows 8 but I assume the process would be similar. It takes a little time to download the AIK file from microsoft but the outcome was well worth my effort. Here is the AIK download location for windows Good Luck! With build it is now possible for me to start the rescue media under windows 8. Unfortunately I also experience exactly the same problem with a Logitech K wireless keyboard and a Logitech T wireless mouse.
They work fine while booting and also on the First Acronis Loader selection screen. After that I loose both the keyboard and the mouse. I have the same issue with my Logitech keyboard and mouse.
I ended up creating a WinPE 4. So long that I thought that it was not booting. Eventually it booted up and it was working fine with the mouse and keyboard. Neither in built nor of TI It works like a charm with TI I have to plug a wired usb mouse and let TI decide the name of the "archive". They surely forgot to include a "driver".
Original Drive Image user bought by Syman I am now unclear, is the problem in both the Windows version and the CD of or just with the recovery CD? However it is possible to either add kernel parameters to the recovery CD or possibly ask Acronis to make a special version for your system. I suspect they might have changed Linux kernel versions in this new build and either the kernel doesn't provide support natively or the drivers have been left out.
As Acronis are at some stage soon everyone hopes releasing either an update or patch for the Linux environment as far as wireless mice and keyboards are concerned, hopefully your problem might be fixed at the same time. Keyboard is usb. Comments: 8. I have a homebuilt desktop on which I installed Acronis upgrade. My computer is running fine, but I wanted to boot with the DVD rescue media in order to manually delete some backups to make more room on my external hard drive.
When I used the DVD boot media, the Acronis console that came up did not show a mouse cursor, and the keyboard did not work could not tab, alt-tab, or use arrows, or any other keys. In Windows, Acronis reports that it is up-to-date. I created another DVD rescue media today, just to be sure it was up-to-date, but that did not make any difference either.
